Scitech is Western Australia's preeminent science education organisation, which seeks to increase awareness, interest, capability and participation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), particularly for children and their families. Scitech engages with primary students and their teachers with a myriad of hands-on, curriculum aligned programs. The Spacedome is an inflatable and mobile planetarium, which brings the wonders of space to the classroom with immersive and engaging tours of the sky. The Junior show takes the students on a journey through our day time sky as it makes the exciting change into night. Students learn about day and night, the stars, planets, constellations, and more. The Senior show explores our solar system through the different missions that scientists and engineers have sent to space on a quest to unravel the mysteries of the universe (Juno, JUICE, New Horizons, Mars rovers, ISS…). In 2017, Scitech’s Statewide team decided to upgrade the software used in the Spacedome with ShiraUniverse and create two customised presentations using the ShiraUniverse Presentation Builder feature.
